THEMED TOWN WALK: MARITIME GRIMSTAD
Ranked by population size, Grimstad is one of the largest shipping centres in the world. The maritime industry has played a key role in the town's history, and is still crucial to Grimstad's local economy. This town walk leads through the streets of Grimstad, and explores old and new buildings as well as places of significance to the town and its maritime heritage.
We will stop at Odden, Terje Vigen's quay, Smith Petersen's quay, Biodden and Hasseldalen. The route is flat and suitable for everyone able to walk at normal pace. Grimstad's speciality "Porke", Norway's best pastry, can be included as part of the package.

GUIDING AT THE MARITIME MUSEUM
The Maritime Museum in Aust-Agder is completely new, and provides an insight into the region's exciting maritime history. It is located in Hasseldalen – an area with a long tradition in shipbuilding – and comprises exhibitions, café and museum shop.
Groups will first be introduced to Hasseldalen's historic surroundings, and the remaining buildings from the sailing ship era. Then the museum exhibitions "The Age of Sail" and “Morten Smith Petersen and Hasseldalen – Towards Modern Shipping” can be explored.
After the guided tour, we recommend a visit to Smag & Behag, the museum's café, with its exciting maritime menu.
